"Dr. Neil Mendelson donates double bass to Arizona Bass Players" This lovely English bass, made in the early part of the 20th century, has found a new home with ABP. Dr. Mendelson's support of the organization is much appreciated. The bass will be used as a loaner for visiting students and professionals.

"Stefano Scodanibbio visited Tucson"

Scodanibbio visits Tucson The contemporary music expert and wild bass player, Stefano Scodanibbio, visited Tucson and gave a wonderful master class and performance at the Univ. of Arizona School of Music on May 5, 9:am to 11:00pm, in Crowder Hall (seen here with some of the class participants).We were all so impressed and inspired! We hope he returns soon!

Claudia Barritt, widow of David Walter, joins the Board of Directors and helps establish the David Walter Memorial Scholarship in Double Bass at ABP.
